As a Staff Assistant Cook for Carnival you will be assisting the staff CDP when preparing meals for all of the Team Members onboard, ensuring that all food production recipes and presentation specifications are followed, as per company standard, to produce food of consistent quality and cost.
Part of our hardworking Crew Galley team –Staff Assistant Cooks are responsible for following recipes and specification to ensure quality and consistency of the meals they produce, as well as ensuring the highest level of sanitation is maintained, all in keeping with company and USPH standards.

Job Functions:
- Arrive at work on time in a clean, company specified uniform, with all required safety equipment.
- Prepare quality meals as directed by the staff chef.
- Ensure a fast and efficient delivery service to the crew and staff restaurants.
- Monitor stock receiving and report any discrepancies to the staff chef.
- In the absence of the staff chef, liaise with the duty Assistant Food and Beverage Manager in regard to food production, shortages, changes, etc.
- Assist the staff chef to supervise, motivate and train all galley personnel on a scheduled basis in regard to food quality, USPH standards, etc.
- Be knowledgeable and properly use all galley equipment and report any malfunctions of the same to the staff chef.
- Liaise with the galley steward in regard to proper cleaning of the equipment.
- Ensure garbage separation standards are enforced and followed.
- Execute any special menus as requested by the chef for the Captain and his guests or other special requests.
- Perform all other functions as requested by the staff chef.
- Perform duties which may be necessary, and as directed by the management.
Job Requirements:
- Fluency in conversational English,
- A Diploma / degree in Hospitality / food production is preferred but not required.
- Applicant should have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in the kitchen of a hotel / restaurant (4+ star) serving Continental Food.
- Fundamental Culinary basics are a must for this position.
